A report from Huawei Central cites industry said that the Huawei’s next-generation Kirin processor will be called Kirin 1000, it will be Huawei’s first chipset built on the 5nm process and will announce on the Huawei Mate 40.

The source also went ahead to confirm that the chipset would use A77 architecture cores (the 990 uses A76). This will be faster while it consumes less battery. The new Huawei Kirin 1000 will come with 5G radios built-in. This chipset is said to feature Huawei’s Da Vinci NPU’s next-level artificial intelligence.

The Huawei Mate 40 will still maintain a premium body that is both dust and water-resistant. The handset will offer a large display screen size of 6.53 inches with OLED capacitive touchscreen and display protection of corning gorilla glass 6.

It will have generous inbuilt storage of 256GB coupled with 8GB RAM. The bigger model will come with a huge 12GB RAM and 512GB. It will have a nonremovable battery capacity of 5000 mAh with support for both fast and wireless charging technology.
